Rumtopf - blackberries ripe and ready for rum

Blackberries swimming around in the "rum soup"
Again it has taken some time, since the a new fruit has been ready to move into the "rumtopf", so 3 weeks after the plums were jumping into the "rum soup", the first blackberries from my work colleague´s garden have ripened, so now they are swimming around together with all the other summer fruit in the "rum soup".

So after the addition of blackberries, I still have the following fruits remaining on my list of "fruit list":
  • perhaps autumn raspberries
  • perhaps elderberries
The "only" fruit lacking in the "rum soup" is cherry.

As usual I cleaned the fruit followed by weighing them, so I know the amount of sugar need as well. Afterwards I add them on top of fruit already in the rum "soup" topping of with yet some more rum.
